lol bad day at the beach? can there be a bad day at the beach? unruly toddlers often have mothers who think their suggams can do no wrong and should be indulged by all. i might have thought this myself when my kids were small:) however now that they are not and i have to deal with opk my thinking has gone more to the cant you control that kid way of thinking!  and btw im thinking resident centrist would be a groovy sn.

today is a beach day for sure. the sun has finally come back out tho last night it dipped into the low 30's and i had to scramble to cover the plants due to the frost warning. im looking at the calendar and reminding myself that its nearing the end of may and that this climate change has seemingly shifted our seasons. ill take it tho because these may days are among the 10 best weather days of the year.

speaking of climate change someone shared with me yesterday that india is the 4th most populous country in the world and that they get their entire water supply from glaciers which are melting. once the glaciers melt the entire water supply dries up. this is very worrisome for a region that is already unstable.

id read a week or so ago that the ice caps at the south pole are doing something very different. as the arctic ice melts the southern cap grows. nobody seems to know why this is happening. is this indicative of some change in earth that can not be attributed to man made change? i wonder about the shift of seasons and this shift of arctic ice i wonder about our spinning earth held in place by gravity and how these changes will effect that or maybe these changes are because of that. im no climate scientist nor physicist so this may not make sense at all outside of the wondering in my head.

And just P freakin' S:

"The inventor said the chip could be used to track terrorists, criminals, fugitives, illegal immigrants, political dissidents, domestic servants and foreigners overstaying their visas."

So, gee. I can see the line of illegal immigrants eager to have this installed under their skin, forming down the street now.

Oh, look! There, on the other side of the street are the FUGITIVES and the FOREIGNERS who've overstayed their visas.

Saudi 'Killer Chip' Implant Would Track, Eliminate Undesirables

Friday, May 15, 2009

It could be the ultimate in political control but it won't be patented in Germany.

German media outlets reported last week that a Saudi inventor's application to patent a "killer chip," as the Swiss tabloids put it, had been denied.

The basic model would consist of a tiny GPS transceiver placed in a capsule and inserted under a person's skin, so that authorities could track him easily.

Model B would have an extra function a dose of cyanide to remotely kill the wearer without muss or fuss if authorities deemed he'd become a public threat.

The inventor said the chip could be used to track terrorists, criminals, fugitives, illegal immigrants, political dissidents, domestic servants and foreigners overstaying their visas.

"The invention will probably be found to violate paragraph two of the German Patent Law which does not allow inventions that transgress public order or good morals," German Patent and Trademark Office spokeswoman Stephanie Krüger told the English-language German-news Web site The Local.
